LONDON
URBAN RETREAT
ANTIPODES SERIES →
The Antipodes Competition Series invites architects and designers to explore the concept of duality by creating retreats in two markedly different environments: the remote wilderness of Antipodes Island and the bustling urban landscape of London. If you want to learn more about the New Zealand Retreat Competition click here.

BRIEF IN SHORT →
Set in East London, the historic Haggerston Baths—an abandoned Grade II listed Edwardian bathhouse — offers a striking backdrop to explore themes of urban care and restoration.
Participants are challenged to reimagine this once-civic space as a retreat for mind, body, and spirit, balancing technical renewal with architectural sensitivity.
