The Panopticon is shattered.  Traces of its geometries are reconstituted as a public garden and podium with four ovoid pavilions overhead where the people can gather and make decisions, administer the affairs of their daily lives, play music, celebrate, picnic, and give themselves to leisure. An abolitionist parable: the center, where formerly the imprisoner exercised his sadistic power over the imprisoned, is cast aside, the branches of a tree replacing the lines of vision that used to radiate outward to the cells of the incarcerated.   There is no watcher, only mutual accountability and direct democracy.  The eye of the warden blinded.
