Urban meditation has pros and cons. Noise, fast-paced lifestyles, and sensory overload define urban areas.

Dodecahedra is a small personal meditation pod that is ideally placed on rooftops. Easy to install, transport, low-cost, lightweight, sturdy, sustainable, and built of natural materials. It is a small and efficient bamboo structure with low carbon impact. Its vivid orange material intrigues others. The pod is solar-powered and harvests rainfall through bamboo, filtering and storing it for the plants and the aquarium.

Dodecahedra will filter the city’s growing air pollutants. Solar fans are sandwiched between bamboo and moss. Moss naturally filters and cools the air. Moss panels within the pod will filter outside air and the pod will release cleaner and cooler air. This will reduce urban air pollution and counteract global warming.

Upon entry the inside is dark and quiet. A built-in aquarium lets users customize the aquascape. This aquarium will draw the attention of the user. Fish swimming in a personalised aquascape and the sound of water will calm the user. Scents of Bamboo, moss, and water promote meditation.

Building Dodecahedra on one’s rooftop can minimize air pollution, improve aesthetic, supply plants and aquariums for hobbyists, and actively endorse mindfulness.
