Hovering silently above the pristine terrain of the Antipodes, AntiSelf acts as a suspended machine for unlearning. Minimizing ecological impact, the design deconstructs the occupantโs existence through three interactive layers.
The Outer Membrane (Anti-Self) is a functional veil of oblivion. Light and formless, it captures the drifting mist and directs rainwater into harvesting channels. As wind filters through its micro-perforations, it generates a constant, soothing โhissingโ white noise, silencing intrusive thoughts and anchoring the user in the absolute present.
In contrast, the Inner Core (Self) is a warm sanctuary for sleep and research, constructed from recycled ship timber holding the heavy patina of memory. Yet, this solidity yearns for the exterior. Dynamic wooden protrusions extend from this rigid volume, physically stretching the “Self” outwards to finally touch the “Anti-Self.” On clear days, these apertures unfold, allowing the occupant to breach their shell and migrate towards the mist to embrace the wilderness.Between these forces lies the Habitable Void. Here, standing on solid platforms, the traveler steps out of the Core to meditate or gaze at the sky through the translucent ghost-mesh. Alienated from the heavy โSelfโ yet held within the void, the urban ego dissolves.

Quite dystopic visuals, interestingly provoking. Catchy and simple narrative.
