Terrain Vague
“Terrain Vague” is an installation realized in scale 1:1 and made of modules that can be easily manipulated. They can be tied together thanks to their lightness and a simple clamping system. People can produce their own spaces, which are linked to a specific moment, a specific function or a specific configuration coming from the present moment. The arrangement of the modules is made instinctively. The user generates shelters and individual cavity. He creates his own world, which is answering to a personal universe and communicating with the universe of other people.
The modules are Open Source and available for anyone thanks to a booklet published online to guide the fabrication and construction :
Fabrication and Assemblage Guides
That way, beyond the one time installation they were made for, the modules can be produce by anyone in order to answer to different needs: the necessity to isolate himself, the research of intimacy to take a rest or the possibility to take a moment to meditate in public areas.
