This modular, expandable tent is designed for both Moroccan nomads and digital nomads. It blends traditional cultural elements with modern needs, offering a flexible living and social space. Traditional Moroccan tents serve as homes and cultural hubs for nomads, but with the rise of digital nomads, the tents’ functions are evolving. Digital nomads require comfort, connectivity, and adaptability, which my design addresses through a modular, detachable structure.
The tent can be configured to suit various social and environmental needs, enhancing privacy and improving the quality of life for nomads. It is designed for Morocco’s mountainous and desert climates, with materials chosen to withstand wind, rain, and extreme temperatures. Its portability, sun-shading, and wind resistance make it ideal for both traditional and modern users, providing a versatile and comfortable experience.

Jury Comments
– The modular project is truly innovative and addresses a pressing need for sustainable living in harsh desert conditions. The versatility of the designs allows for adaptability, making it suitable for various lifestyles and environmental challenges. I appreciate how it’ve prioritized sustainability and resilience, ensuring that residents can thrive while minimizing their ecological footprint. This approach not only enhances the quality of life but also fosters a strong sense of community among inhabitants. Great job pushing the boundaries of design and functionality in such a unique environment! | Noelia Monteiro & Christian Teshirogi
– The most important attribute of the proposal is the ability to integrate historical references of nomadic life into contemporary living. This syncretism is well achieved through a combination of materials, geometries and spatial approaches. It is a versatile and practical proposal, designed to efficiently resolve the most basic needs of nomadic life. | Belén Argudo, José de la Torre, Santiago Granda & Pablo Silva
