Moon Hive adopts honeycomb structure to design functional modules. Functional modules are first built on Earth, then transported by rocket to the Moon for assembly, and finally 3D printed by robots using in-situ materials such as lunar soil to build protective shells against radiation, temperature changes, and meteorites.
Modular design is not only conducive to the personalized customization of functional modules for lunar residents, but also conducive to the replication and expansion of buildings.
The building is located in the South Pole area of the Moon, where water ice resources and light resources are abundant, in order to achieve self-sufficiency in resources.
In addition to the necessary sleeping, eating, health, medical, fitness and other modules, the building is also equipped with curved floor-to-ceiling Windows, planting areas and lunar vehicle garages. It encourages lunar residents to engage in activities such as stargazing, gardening, and moonwalking in their spare time to ensure their overall health in terms of physical, mental and social well-being.
