FINALIST of Unfinished Colosseum

Unfinished Colosseum

We interpreted incomplete as the process of completion.

Deus ex-Machina is a device and a driving force for continuity that leads the play to completion with the help of a machine.

Using this, Rome’s Coliseum, which has remained in a state of collapse in the past, was given the role of a theme park and restarted with the mechanical power of playground equipment to induce it to last forever. In other words, it’s not incomplete, it’s continuing with the times.

While maintaining the existing Colosseum’s heritage and function as a tourist resource, it is easier to see the panoramic view of Rome by giving it the role of a theme park, inducing the influx of various visitors, and providing entertainment content.
