The goal of our project was to preserve the existing form of the building as much as possible, while simultaneously giving it greater functionality and usable space. The facade of our design consists mainly of glass to let in as much natural light as possible, but also to ensure that the original form of the Colosseum remains visible from every direction. A fiberglass membrane, which blends with the glass facade, is also visible from the outside, allowing the entire structure to be illuminated by lights inside the building at night. We transformed the historic Colosseum into a venue for meetings, integration, sports, and various events, with each floor serving specific functions (art gallery, gym, restaurant, chill room, etc.). The main concept was to install a running track encircling the entire arena from the inside. We also included changing rooms for athletes next to the area where the gladiators’ changing rooms used to be. The center is filled with a glass surface designed to be versatile and serve various events, such as fashion shows, fights, galas, etc. We also planned to reconstruct the entire stands to make them more comfortable and use local, low-water plants inside.

The concept drawing is wonderful, Karolina! What software did you us? Also, consider uploading more project on your portfolio to make it look even greater!
Hello, sorry for the late reply. For most part of the project we used Archicad.
