Historically, the area we chose was once a pond and swamp area that experienced changes due to the pressure of residential growth. The residential area grew and spread without leaving any green open space. Floods occur during the rainy season, but the air temperature is very hot during the dry season. This is exacerbated by river pollution and poor sanitation, causing health problems in the community.

Through this project, our team carries the concept of “Banyu Panguripan,” which means water of life. We are inspired by the element of water that drives the wheels of life in the earthโ€™s ecosystem. The basis of our idea is to revive ecosystems that have long been extinct and to make the environment healthy by flowing water elements into them: Form Follows Water (Life). The ultimate goals to be achieved by 2080 are net zero emission, a comfortable climate, clean water and sanitation, and sustainable settlements. We take the form of the Magnolia x alba flower on the combined water circulation network and vehicles as a symbol of revitalizing the relationship between humans and nature.

In the first stage in 2030, we plan to regulate river irrigation accompanied by the densification of walkable mixed-use areas and the provision of community gardens to store and improve water in water reservoirs and underground flows. In 2050, wetland conservation areas and green spaces in the middle of the community will be created by arranging pedestrian-based building designs. This will form a mutually respectful connection between humans, plants, and animals. In the third stage, in 2080, the desired goals can be achieved.
