OPERATION DSB – PANOPTICON

The community has been summoned for this rebellion operation that aims to attack a very specific target: the panopticon. Our mission is to destroy this architectural typology as a form of protest against the system of freedom control which the structure evokes.

Operation DSB – Destroy by Seed Bombing

For the success of this operation, the following steps must be followed:

1- People would take over the watchtower to bombard the circular structure of the panopticon. Thus, all the power of the tower would be transferred to the community, and the panopticon transformed into “ruins”.

2- The bombs are a mixture of water, clay, and seeds: the seed bombs. The circular structure of the panopticon, made of bio-concrete and mycelium-based composites alongside soil substrates, would be able to support vegetation growth.

If everything goes as expected, the forces operated by the panopticon will be given for the eco-social benefits of the community. Flora will take control of the architecture and thrive, but it depends on the collective responsibility to foster a new beginning. The panopticon will be ours to create a place where plants are the main source of power, and we will plant them by bombing the architectural representative of control and surveillance.
