Biomimicry:Lizards on Earth inhabit the edges of deserts, similar to the lunar extreme environment. The lizards cleverly live in the crevices of rock and soil, ensuring their safety, avoiding intense sunlight, and preserving moisture. The design draws inspiration from these, utilizing reliable and sturdy arch-shaped structures as the fundamental building units.
Building techniques:The construction method adopts 3D printing and assembly. The primary construction material is lunar rock-soil, sourced locally.
Environmental impact:The crevices between the sturdy main structures serve as radiation-shielding layers using polyethylene material. These spaces are filled with water, which remains in a liquid state during the day and solidifies at night. This not only shields against cosmic radiation but also allows sunlight to enter the building through the transparent material. The water can also serve supporting ecological circulation and reserve usage.
Ecological systems: Natural sunlight enters the building, creating an ecological environment suitable for planting plants, vegetables(cauliflower and brussel ), potatoes, and fruit(Strawberries and tomatoess), which generate oxygen.Flexible planning: The building units develop around a central crater and continuously combine to form an interconnected circular collective pattern, creating a sense of community.
