“Lunar Chakras” are rotating cone cities built into existing craters on moon. Inspired by rotating wheel space stations, lunar chakras provide radiation-free, constant-temperature, 1g-gravity, spacious Earth-like environment where human life on the moon extends beyond survival into true living. People exercise, gather, shop, work, plant just as they would on Earth, creating a self-sustained community operated on green solar energy. Wastewater is recycled and air composition is maintained with a controlled human-vegetation ratio.
Moon soil is rich in oxygen and various metals. Theoretically, with hydrogen brought from Earth, water, cement, concrete, glass, and even solar cells could be easily produced locally. With these basic elements, remote-controlled robots could start the construction.
Could this be a reality in 2050? Most probably not, but if human were to truly live, not survive, on an extraterrestrial planet, we should strive to recreate the essential Earth qualities. Just like spinning disks of energy in the human body, “Lunar Chakras” could be crucial centers of human excellence and vital life force on the moon.
