The project aims to highlight the monumental impact of the construction “The Line” on its inhabitants, emphasizing the contrast between the human scale and the colossal dimensions of the linear city. Through a series of vertical sections, the image highlights the five-minute distance, a central concept of “The Line” project, which ends up representing a life with a very tight frame. These distances presented as designed for accessibility, efficiency and comfort become overwhelming in a superhuman architectural context, affecting the inhabitants psychologically and emotionally.

Against the background of the galaxy, “The Line” is presented as an isolated construction, suggesting, by referring to the size of the planet Earth, the break with human. The graphic elements highlight the risks of such an urban utopia, where human needs for connectivity and closeness are subordinated to a rigid and imposing structure.

The project urges a critical reflection on this extreme vision of urbanism, trying not to address the technical challenges at all, but only the emotional and social ones that it could generate. Its purpose is to open a discussion about the relationship between architecture, proportions and human well-being.
