Korea was unable to replace oil because of the Second
Korean War.
Major resources, including oil, became managed by the state, maintaining a stable supply network on a turbulent battlefield became the core of national survival, and oil began to circulate through gas stations under state control.
As the nation’s gas stations are located relatively short distances, they are geographically distributed. Using this, the government reorganized the gas stations, which were simple fuel stations, into strategic hubs that serve as protective and distributed to neighboring residents.
These facilities were not just defense bases, but were able to provide efficient support by serving as real-time information collection and emergency supplies.
Drones and protection systems at guardposts enabled information collection and emergency distribution of wires and civilian facilities, and became a platform to connect military and civilian supplies while being used as military defense facilities.
Due to their rapid construction and functionality, they followed the brutalist style of architecture that emerged to quickly restore war-torn cities. Built with exposed concrete, the structure was designed to maximize efficiency with minimal resources, creating pressure.
