ArchitectRome Collective Living | concept by student | 2019
The collective living project was produced for a global competition in Rome. The submitted material is one of the three parts of the students’ teamwork and shows a tower type of housing construction, using modules that can also be placed on the roofs of dense buildings or form huge clusters on spacious plots. For this project, a small site was chosen amongst the dense development of the first central neighbourhood of Monti.
The coliving is an 8-storey building. The work, public and living spaces are separated. The 1st floor houses the reception area. The 2nd floor is dedicated to the work area, the 3rd floor to the public space and library. The next 4 floors consist of two types of residential modular units, common kitchens and living rooms, and open terraces. Each residential unit has a balcony. The 3rd and 4th floors are connected by a stepped common space for socialising and relaxing. On the upper 8th floor there is a spacious open terrace.
