The Orbatorium is an immersive experience designed for festivals, combining light, scale, and interactive elements. The installation consists of large inflatable spheres, each with an internal light source, creating an atmospheric glow. These spheres are anchored with wire ropes to metal pillars with concrete bases, providing stability. The pillars also hide cables and mechanisms for the lights, ensuring a clean, visually striking design.
A key feature of the installation is a separate structure, resembling an observatory or lighthouse. Visitors can climb the stairs to enter this space, offering a unique vantage point to observe both the illuminated spheres and the festival environment. The structure itself also features internal lighting, adding to the ambiance.
The purpose of this installation is to enhance the festival experience by offering a visually captivating and interactive environment. The spherical forms are meant to evoke a sense of joy and wonder. The light inside the spheres and the observatory creates a playful atmosphere that invites visitors to interact with their surroundings in new and exciting ways, making the festival feel even more vibrant and engaging.

Jury Comments
– A beautifully conceived project that excels in both aesthetic appeal and functional design, offering a visionary reimagining of spatial relationships. The immersive experience it provides is truly exceptional, setting a high standard for innovative architectural concepts. While already impressive, introducing more multisensory or adaptive elements could elevate its interactivity even further. | Mohamed Hassan
