StudentThe Hidden Library

The Hidden Library is an attempt to capture the feeling that accompanies reading a book. When a book is opened, one enters an unknown universe ready to be explored. Each story is a different world, often much more complex than it appears at first glance. The library has taken the form of boxes enclosed within boxes, making entering the subsequent boxes a reflection of the reading process. The division of the volume has been done based on the distinction between concentration and relaxation spaces.
The structure is immersed in the earth and shielded by a concrete canopy. Amid the spatial intervals among the volumes, an entertaining courtyard has emerged. The structures fulfill distinct roles: the larger one serves educational needs, while the smaller plays a functional role. Connections between volumes are established through suspended pathways. The use of varied materials in constructing consecutive boxes adds to the enigma of the project, fostering a sense of mystery.
