We hope to provide people with a cyclist-friendly living environment by transforming the building and creating a ramp system. Our site is in Calolziocorte, Italy. It has rich natural resources. Several bike routes pass through the road west of the site. The function of this district is mainly residential, which cannot meet the diverse needs of cyclists.
So, we decided to transform the original building into a home for cyclists, the building was a primary school constructed in 1968. We aim to create a home for cyclists and a new living experience.
We chose the cyclists who will live here for a few months as our design typology because they can deeply experience the surrounding cycling routes, and new functions in the building based on their needs.
We added bicycle lanes to the original building, these lanes connect the different functions of the building and address accessibility issues at the same time. Every room in the renovated building can be reached by bicycle. To truly be friendly to cyclists and lead this lifestyle.

A building with no bike(s), not clear what the idea is.
