Our project is made with simple materials and concept in mind, inspired by the hand-pan and new age music. On the outside the dome is smooth, made from corten. While on the inside it’s rusted and textured, which helps with the acoustics. The project is put in the ground, becoming one with it. No technology is used, the sound is amplified by the dome and the only available light is the natural light coming through the windows. The entrance of the soundscape is hidden in a small triangle-shaped base 25 meters away. When the music from the dome attracts people, they can only see from the edges of the scale leaning over like curious children. The unapparent entrance makes the path to the main hall a journey itself and creates a sense of mystery. Once inside the people become part of the instrument and one with the music. No use of technology and simple construction makes it a relaxing environment without any distractions, where you can focus and enjoy the performance. Apart from a soundscape structure, this work aims to convey a timeless message of peace and acceptance while artistically representing a world where music brings people together. No matter how much time passes the structure will stand as a natural instrument.

Jury Comments
– This project achieves a rare balance of elegance, functionality, and timeless appeal, making it a standout example of refined design. Its seamless integration of traditional and modern elements is executed with care and precision. To truly push boundaries, the concept could benefit from incorporating bolder, more experimental elements that challenge conventional expectations. | Mohamed Hassan
