Bambootation – Integrating mindfulness through nature

Therapeutic spaces in chaotic cities that invite Individuals of all nature to engage in meditative activities is more than a far-fetched idea. “Bambootation” attempts to create a symphony of mindful living through gardening, encouraging a sustainable lifestyle. The design approach explores circularity of meditative systems seamlessly tying together concepts of Economy, Nature and Meditation. 

‘Circle of Nature’ emphasizes on filtering rainwater through different layers of soil, circulating back to nourish plants and small water fountains. The soothing sound of waterdrops amidst the scent of fresh leaves sets the sensorial atmosphere within the cozy bamboo structure. 

‘Circle of Economy’ represents the cycle of sowing seeds and reaping its benefits. It encourages community participation and self-sustainability of growing their local produce, thereby inspiring other communities to adopt similar practices. The vegetations are grown in different levels; ground surface for underground crops and short fruit trees, first level for above-ground crops and ceilings for creepers, while the second level is undisturbed for preserving seeds.

‘Circle of Meditation’ encompasses utilizing energy from the nature and releasing it back, thereby deriving calmness by turning aspirations into reality. Nature ties all three circles together to create a harmony between living mindfully and the bustling city.
