Urban vacant spaces hold potential in their physical, social, and cultural connectivity to the existing urban infrastructure. We have designed modular units that can be constructed without constraints on the size of the city’s vacant spaces. Each module consists of residential, bicycle storage, and bicycle maintenance components, allowing for diverse combinations based on the nature of each vacant space. In this competition, the suggested urban vacant space exists between buildings, aiming to integrate bicycles into the lifestyles of individuals commuting to and from buildings. Utilizing a bicycle app, we have facilitated easier access to the bicycle lifecycle. Expanding the lifestyle centered around bicycles envisions the formation of new communities, with the characteristics of these communities influencing the combination of new modules in expanding vacant spaces. Through the reuse of previous modules, the concept anticipates a transformation into a city tailored for cyclists.

Modular architecture can apply easily into an existing city and offer solutions and new potential in how we can use the space. However I would expect to see more the connection between those modular spaces and the potential of the combination of all 3. The presentation with the app was appreciated. Well done.

Idea is ok but not worked out well in design and images.
