Post-natural coworking

2031 year. Post-apocalyptic Moscow. Exploded nuclear plants and nuclear strikes during the military conflicts led to a long nuclear winter. In a world reshaped by an nuclear war, where remnants of the past intermingle with the uncertainty of the future, the theme of this design project emerged—an innovative coworking space with post-natural enviroment catering to XR workers. The vision was to create an haven, an utopia within a dystopia, embracing the unique challenges faced by workers in this new post-apocalyptic high-tech reality.

The coworking building has a large dome onto which the sky is projected. This solution was used to recreate a new nature and a new reality inside the building. Since during the nuclear winter the sky will be filled with smoke and gases, and for a good condition a person needs to see a clear sky and get enough sun, which will be provided by the dome of the coworking space.

In order to create a comfortable environment inside the coworking space, where people will spend most of their time and even their free time, it was necessary to create a diverse environment. There are many types of different spaces for work and leisure in a coworking space. At the same time, in any of the spaces it is possible to both relax and simply work in a different atmosphere. A clear prescription for where to work and where not was done so that employees have the opportunity to change as many locations as possible with different atmospheres during the day. So in a coworking space it is possible to work on the beach under more abundant sun, or in special workspaces. At the same time, the atmosphere inside is changing every day due to the sky. Both sunny and cloudy days are simulated. Spectacular sunsets are also arranged, and at night you can look at the stars. Coworking is open around the clock to make it convenient for people with different rhythms of life.

In order to provide comfort and take care of health of the clients of the coworking, an AI assistance system was developed. Assistant robots help and take care of the comfort of workers in everything. For XR workers, robots interact and communicate with them on the AR layer. These are real physical robots that can be stroked, that can bring food, etc., but they also have the ability to connect and work virtually. With analog workers they communicate verbally and on smartphons.
