The project aims to forge a seamless transition between the bustling street and the interior space. By submerging the public program and elevating the exhibition halls, a semi-covered plaza emerges between two gracefully curved surfaces. This area is shielded from the traffic of Avenida Corrientes, resulting in a locale that coexists within and transcends the city.
The visitor’s journey unfolds from the subdued ambiance of the underground to the ethereal luminosity of the upper floor. The connection with Parque Los Andes is carefully mediated by a micro-perforated steel mesh, providing glimpses from within while only fully revealing its interior mystery as night descends.
Vertical cores, serving as structural elements, exhibition spaces, and circulation devices, seamlessly connect the three floors. Organized around a central courtyard spanning all levels, the design allows the ingress of natural light, shaping a dynamic circulation space.
