The Panoptimarket reimagines the traditional panopticon structure into a sustainable market hub, transforming the central surveillance tower into a flare of social interaction and community engagement. The original, oppressive monitoring core is repurposed into an open, inviting space that fosters dialogue, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Surrounding this core, the once isolating cells are replaced with multileveled platforms, offering a dynamic, modular setting for vendors, artisans, and entrepreneurs.

This new structure emphasizes transparency and inclusivity, eliminating the panopticon’s inherent power imbalance. Natural light and green spaces are integrated throughout, promoting well-being and environmental consciousness. Also, the platforms facilitate a circular economy, where goods are locally sourced, and waste is minimized through innovative reuse and recycling strategies.
