MUNI•MUNI Multi-Generational Bathroom

“Muni-muni” means to ponder or to reflect. It is an essential routine to prepare us for the challenges of our daily lives and gives us the moment to free our minds, refreshing us for the difficulties and opportunities of tomorrow. People commonly experience this relaxing special time when using the most considered private space in their homes—the bathroom. But if the bathroom is shared by the whole family, can one have the adequate time and privacy to enjoy, relax and think?
This project, MUNI-MUNI, allows more than one member to use the bathroom simultaneously without compromising each person’s privacy in terms of their time, space and belongings. The approach considers suitable architectural elements and product fixtures that promote the room’s overall quality and character, which will also accommodate the changing needs of each family member, creating a space that is loved by users of different generations.
