This drawing, prepared for the competition, depicts a dystopian future in 2053. In this proposal, a scenario for the reuse of panopticon structures is presented. In 2053, the problems of individualization and the weakening of family ties have created an atmosphere of loneliness in society. People have begun to experience this isolation willingly, preferring panopticon-like structures that were previously used as prisons. At the same time, the surveillance purpose of the Panopticon has become all-pervasive in 2053, enabling the state to constantly monitor citizens. Surveillance has become normalized, even accepted, while people are openly manipulated by the one-sided media and other propaganda tools controlled by the government. Through these control mechanisms, the government monitors and manipulates people, from their interactions to their thoughts and behaviors. Interestingly, however, this has not caused any discomfort among people; on the contrary, society has accepted this system as normal, believing that it is safe with this surveillance. This dystopian scenario depicts a world where freedoms are restricted in the dark shadow of the panapticon. This drawing aims to emphasize the potential dangers of the future and the desensitization of society.
